Student Activities
Our students have opportunities to lead, learn, and serve within and beyond the classroom.
Athletics
Students in grades 5-8 can participate in athletics. We offer Cross Country, Football, Track and Field, Volleyball, and Basketball.
Student Leaders of Service
We have combined our Student Council and our Students of Service program. This program helps our students in grades 6-8 learn about leadership and being of service.
Band
Our band program is offered for students in grades 4-8. We have a variety of different levels. Classes are offered before school in the morning. Our band groups perform at a winter and spring concert as well as a number of other school events.
choir
Our school choir is open to students in grades 3-8. They meet once a week to practice and prepare for our weekly all school Masses and special events.
Math Team
Math team is open to all of our students in grades 6-8. This group allows our students to come together and grow in their application of math and have fun. The team participates in a number of local contests.
Recycling Club
The recycling club is open to all students in grades 3-8. These students show us how to care for God’s creation and ensure that our school continues to value recycling.
Literary Magazine
The 2019-2020 school year is the first year for our school’s Literary Magazine. This will be published three times a year, once during each trimester, and feature a variety of writing genres across all grade levels.
SCOUTS
Our school has a strong scouting program. We offer cub scout, boy scout, daisy, brownie, and girl scout programs.
Battle of the Books
Students in grades 1-5 participate in the Battle of the Books every year with our championship round taking place during Catholic Schools Week. This program affords our students the opportunity to read many of today’s best titles for children and encourages a love of reading!
Scripps National Spelling Bee
Every year our students in grades 4-8 participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. We have our final round during Catholic Schools Week. Our school winner has the opportunity to move on to other local contests at the county and regional levels.
History Fair and Science Fair
Students in grades seven and eight will have the opportunity to participate in these academic pursuits. Students who qualify will be able to move on to regional and state wide competitions.
Geo bee
The 2019-2020 school year is the inaugural year for our school’s participation it the Geo Bee. Students in grades 4-8 will participate.
