My name is Larry Rossi. I am the Rockestra Director as well as the assistant Band Director to Mrs. Lynne Green. I have been part of the St. Patrick Catholic School faculty for 29 years. Rockestra is a rock/pop/jazz ensemble. Students who are in the group have auditioned for this opportunity. I instruct the brass, percussion, saxophones and flutes in small group lessons as assigned by Mrs. Green. My goal has always been to provide the best musical education that I can to my students as well as develop character as it pertains to working cooperatively with others in a musical setting. I strive to accomplish the latter by opening each class with a biblical scripture followed by a short application of the passage as it relates to team and character building.

I have earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois. 2016 marks my 47th year in music education. Along with my current ministry at St. Patrick Catholic School I have also been a church Music Director for many years, though not currently. I am also currently employed by the Wyndemere Retirement Community in Wheaton Illinois as their Music Director in charge of handbell and vocal choirs. Additional duties include leading a weekly Bible study for the residents of Westbridge (a part of Wyndemere) and facilitator for a resident Christian action committee called STUFF.

I live currently in the area and of course enjoy all sorts of music both as an instructor and performer. My wife and I have served for 32 years as the coordinators for the Kane County Fair Talent Contest. We were also co-owners and operators of RPM Creative Music which served the Fox Valley for over 20 years in the field of private music education.
